Blackhawk snatched the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Quaker Valley on Monday. The game was tied at three with the Cougars batting in the bottom of the sixth when Garrett Uebelacker doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

In the second inning, Blackhawk got their offense started when Glas induced Jarrod Malagise to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Alex Tomsic got the win. Tomsic lasted six innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out six. Austin Thellman threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Thellman recorded the last three outs to earn the save .

The Cougars tallied nine hits in the game. Thellman and Uebelacker all managed multiple hits.
