Game Recap

Blackhawk and Ambridge played a taut affair on Monday, but the Cougars eventually prevailed 12-2 after taking the lead for good in the fourth inning. The game was tied at two with Blackhawk batting in the top of the fourth when Johnny Nixon tripled off of Travis Holman, driving in two runs.
Blackhawk captured the lead in the first inning.
In the bottom of the third inning, Ambridge tied things up at two. The Cougars took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Anthony Sebastian singled off of Travis Holman, driving in one run and Chris Piccone homered off of Holman, driving in two runs.
Jon Pence earned the win for Blackhawk. He tossed six innings, allowing two runs, six hits, striking out 12, and walking one.
Blackhawk collected 14 hits. Mark Engel, Tyler Robinson, Johnny Nixon, and Piccone each collected multiple hits for the Cougars. Piccone and Nixon each drove in three runs to lead Blackhawk. Chis Piccone had two home runs for the Cougars.
